I bought this model in the early 1990's to use as a reference when painting a FATE Magazine cover for Llewellyn Publications. The model was left gray for photography, and I created a totally different color scheme of a particular aircraft for the magazine. Then she sat around for several years waiting for me to get some time on my hands. In 2000 I finally hauled her out and fined her. She is painted in the markings of the aircraft that were hunting the Bismark on that ship's final voyage. I had to do some special research to get the antenna wires and masts accurate
