This 18.5" long Hindenburg kit from the 1960's is a classic, but by today's standards of detail it is a crude toy. IU think I paid a buck for it in a garage sale. The DC-3 was a mess of proportions and required some major changes. And yet, there it is, a classic. I paid a lot of attention to the weathering colors and patterns as I was painting the hull. Learned a bit about the different lacquers used on aviation fabrics of the time. So I guess there is a silver lining to every cloud, ..until it EXPLODES!
