The model was built to use as a reference. Revel wanted me to do the painting so it was as close to the kit
as possible, and that meant following the kit over following the accurate movie/TV original. There are some
marked differences, especially in the lack of detail on the sides. My solution was to light the painting with
a cast shadow in those areas so it wouldn't look off. My model is decaled as the Pegasus.

If you look closely, you will see that there is no gigantic glow behind the engines on the original art. I didn't paint it that way originally, but
When they saw the glow on the engines of the Viper, they decided they wanted the Galactica to do that too. I cringed, but added it in. When
I got the painting back I painted a new space background over the white abomination. It is now close to the original version of the painting,
and absolutely follows the "artist's original intent."

Sheesh!
