This page is going to take a little longer to load because it has two versions of each picture. The reason?

BECAUSE I SCREWED UP!

There I was, the night before I was going to mail these three paintings, and as I was going through my paperwork for the job I discovered that they were supposed to be horizontal instead of vertical! ACK! Well, I pride myself on never being late, so I stayed up all night learning how to use the cloning tool in Photoshop. It was a lot of work, but I learned to do it well enough that without seeing them side by side you really can't tell that they were enlarged on the computer. I delivered them the next day via the internet and they arrived on time. That was a close one! But see what a little motivatiuon can do?

This painting actually took a lot of hard work to create. I was going for that look so typical of when people used to photograph Indians for portraits. I wanted to get a lot of really cool texture on the wall, so I crushed some stone and mixed it into the paint, trowelling it on like a stucco plasterer. Then I scrubbed color into it. It looks great in real life!
