BATTLESTAR PEGASUS
$ 4,500.00
18x24
Acrylic & Alkyd
This is the way the painting used on
the cover really looks. It was painted after I painted the Viper
cover, and the boss of my art director saw the big white booster
plume of the Viper and decided that the Galactica cover should
have the same effect. I pointed out that the engine glow of the
Galactica was only ever seen from rear views, but he didn't care.
He thought it would imply motion. I tried to explain that this
ship is essentially like an aircraft carrier. Oh well. So they
got a glow on their cover. The bottom line is the client always
gets what they want. However, below the bottom line is the signature
line, and that's where I get what I want. I have restored the
painting to the way I intended it in the first place.
