The Middle Kingdom Great Book has been
bound twice. The first binding was damaged beyond repair. The
second one, which you see here, is a handsome binding of heavy
oak boards with a leather spine. The book was bound before all
of the pages had been completed. This is one reason why the book
took many years to finally complete.
